The Hyperbaric Chamber in Kalymnos island Hospital
For 30 years now a Hyperbaric chamber is used in Kalymnos Island Hospital.
In March 2003 the old hyperbaric chamber was replaced by a brand new, high tech and high standard one. It is a HAUX-STARMED 2200 and it is probably the most modern in the
whole East
Mediterranean.
It can accommodate up to 10 people simultaneously in a safe and pleasant environment.
It offers an automatic fire fighting system, air condition, audiovisual and intercommunication system.
And it is very close to the diving areas since Kalymnos island hospital is located 1,5 km. from Kalymnos port.
